For Families And Individuals
Hands-on with Consumers and Teams!
 
  Ms. Grealish emphasizes the importance of family and teamwork. In her extensive work with people of all ages, she helps create viable plans that are based on their strengths and that are designed to be implemented immediately. Through these plans she will help people:  

 

Discover and document individual and family strengths, assets, preferences and cultures
Build consensus on targeted plan outcomes and use them as the beginning of discharge or closure criteria
Develop effective crisis and safety plans
Meet consumer and/or family needs and maximize individual and family ownership
Develop effective behavior interventions that are individualized and based on strengths
 
     

 

For Communities
Link-up with Community Resources!
 
  Ms. Grealish provides technical assistance in finding and linking with available resources within communities. This approach fosters cooperation among formal and informal service providers, benefits individuals and families, and ensures the efficient delivery of both formal services and supports from informal community resources. The process involves:  
 

Recruiting a wide variety of volunteers, sponsors, mentors and other helpers to meet family needs and fill gaps in local systems of care
Developing ties to informal resources
Assessing community progress on goals
Teaching the assessment and collaborative process to local staff in order to continue to progress further
Building community consensus and collaboration
 
     
  For Systems
Design and Develop
 
  State and local providers continue to call on Ms. Grealish to help them develop strategies for interagency collaboration. When in place, these strategies enhance current systems in the delivery of services. She also helps stakeholders develop evaluation systems that measure progress on key local reforms. Here she provides technical assistance in:  
 
Designing and/or revamping structures to facilitate collaboration
Developing strategic plans to increase community ownership of outcomes
Creating simple systems which track locally important outcomes and the process indicators that tend to influence outcome achievement
 
     
  For Foster Care
Train and Support
 
  Children who must be removed from their family homes, either temporarily or permanently, are reliant upon the foster care system. Other children are in desperate need of permanent families that will care and love them as they grow and mature. Adult consumers who have a variety of disabilities also need Foster homes, especially if they prefer a family setting to a group home or other similar residence. In order to serve these populations well, these resource families needs "hands on" help. Ms. Grealish offers training on enhancing those services and strategies for recruiting and retaining families.You can get help with:  
 
Designing/revamping administrative structures to support Therapeutic Foster Care, Foster Care and Wraparound Foster Care
Developing training plans for your Therapeutic Foster Care/Foster Care families and staff
Troubleshooting workforce issues
Ensuring maximal therapeutic effectiveness
Planning for the supervision and support of parents and staff
 
     
  Recruit and Maintain  
  Expanding and/or maintaining foster care resources requires a process of screening, recruiting and training. Ms. Grealish's personal and professional experience with foster care systems brings an educated view of the process. She'll provide technical assistance in the areas of:  
 
Recruiting potential foster and adoptive families
Screening and training them
Supervising and supporting foster families to produce targeted outcome
